Julius Caesar

Whilst the people in the market place would like Caesar to be crowned King, his best friend Brutus is having doubts. Can one person having so much power really be good for Rome? Despite the omens, the warnings that things might go wrong, Caesar goes to the senate on 15 march and is killed by Brutus and other senators. Mark Anthony promises to avenge his death, but does he? In this play there is also a bit of social Roman history, so not only do you get one of Shakespeare's great history plays, but also a look at the Roman lifestyle. Some knowledge of the plot and characters names are required beforehand to make the Shakespeare options a successful day.
