DIY Play In A Day

Have you ever looked at a child in your class and thought ‘I wish you had more confidence to speak out’ or ‘I wish I could help you find the courage to speak up’ or ‘I wish I could find a way to engage you and help you to learn’? Over many years of working with children from Early Years right through to Year 6, we have discovered that drama is often the key to unlocking a whole heap of hidden potential.
Here, at Lynx Theatre In Education, we want to help you to grab that key and unlock the potential of the children in your class. To do this we will be offering you a new subscription service to enable you to have exclusive access to the Lynx Library of plays and our Play In A Day expertise gathered over decades of working with children in Primary Schools.
All our scripts are curriculum/issue based and can be used for a one off Play In A Day project, school assemblies or developed into an End of Term show. They have been specifically written and honed to embed learning in a fun and creative way. The lines are short and shared out so that every child in the class has at least one line to say alone. The plays are taught aurally so the children are not hampered by scripts. Each play also contains choral speaking and movement, with Helpful Hints (HH) that are specific to the play to refer to.
There are three levels of annual subscription as follows:

‘What Drama Can Bring To Your School’ – an explanation of how using drama can enhance learning.
‘How To Stage A Performance’ – all you need to know to take a Play In A Day script off the page and onto the stage.
‘Drama Games’ – a comprehensive list of games to help you cast the play and prepare your children to perform.
Plus 1 Play In A Day Script of your choice in PDF format.
‘Fox’:- £125. 5 x downloads, 20 minute Consultation* and Unlimited Email Support*
‘What Drama Can Bring To Your School’ – an explanation of how using drama can enhance learning.
‘How To Stage A Performance’ – all you need to know to take a Play In A Day script off the page and onto the stage.
‘Drama Games’ – a comprehensive list of games to help you cast the play and prepare your children to perform.
Plus 2 Play In A Day Scripts of your choice in a Word Document so you can edit it as you require.
£125 one off payment or spread the cost with 12 monthly payments of £12
Lynx: £325 - 6 x downloads, 30 minute Consultation*, Unlimited Email Support* and a Play In A Day visit from one of our practitioners**.

*30 minute Consultation and Unlimited Email Support – If you would like to talk through any aspect of the Play In A Day process or a particular script, you can arrange to talk with one of our practitioners via Zoom or a similar platform. This service is available once during the year, however additional support via email during the year is unlimited.
**Play In A Day visit from one of our Practitioners – included in your Lynx subscription is one whole day visit from one of our practitioners to lead a Play In A Day live in your school. You choose from one of your downloadable scripts which one you would like to see a practitioner lead.
Please note this service is only available in the UK.
